Firewater opened in November 2001 with the mission to provide real music and hard liquor to the people of Glasgow. Their aim was to be rebel against the sludge that pollutes the airwaves in the guise of popular music and fly the flag for Rock N Roll. From the 50’s to the present day classics, there is such a thing as a Firewater Anthem and you’ll know it when you hear it.
The Project:
Edging away from the norm, Firewater wanted to bring an app to life for it’s users instead of a website, promoting it as the number one place to get more information about the bar.
The app features information about the bars lengthly history, while also showcasing information on their weekly and upcoming events. The drinks and ‘sticky fingers’ menus have also been embedded into their app, and can be regularly updated by Firewater as and when required. User authentication gives customers the chance to create accounts and accumulate loyalty/drinks offers while the push notification feature gives Firewater the chance to ping those who have downloaded the app with short blast messages as and when required.
Staying within the realms of Rock N Roll, the branding is kept to a bar like scene through B&W imagery and other unique elements.
